FANTASY FESTIVAL APRIL 2025!
My second festival!
A few months ago I was offered a stand at a Festival here in France based on things like fantasy worlds, campaigns like Dungeons N' Dragons and so much more!
I accepted it and took part of it as an artist featuring my work and some small merchandise based on my original game. Lots of stickers, posters, but most importantly, you could demand a sketch there, I always enjoy drawing things for people there, and even when they struggle to ask what they want, asking a few questions about what they like helps a lot and both sides ends up happy!
I had already participated in the same festival back in October as the only drawing artist to have a stand, so I'm glad to see they have improved on a lot of things and featured a lot more variety, there was even that guy that let you make your own lego dude, it was fun.
Learning from mistakes
While there were a lot of good things, I had put a lot of efforts into my stand and work to keep it organised yet colorful... Which in the end didn't feel worth it. I had spent a long time waiting for people to come by, only for not many people to actually do so. The communication around the event and the time were both fairly bad (It was raining too, oops).
All these criticisms were told and has already been taken in considerations thankfully, very happy for them :)
New opportunities and content
I have done a lot of work this time around to make it great, updated all my art portfolios, made new stickers (Huge thanks to TheNightSoul1 for helping on the new designs), and overhaul made the whole thing more colorful and stand out more!
Although... I do have a lot of merchandise still left in boxes, would you be interested in buying them for cheap on a website like Etsy?
Let me know on socials if you want!
I may have also been offered more opportunities such as working on books for some writers, some new kind of merchandise like paper lamps and figurines (I am still working on the Uni figures teased previously on my twitter).
But the main focus stays my games and comic.
Final thoughts
It was fun and enjoyable.
Despite the lack of communication and promotion, the festival had gone well, with plenty people coming in, and even got the chance to see some friends again. I also truly believe that the people behind this festival, an association called Roll the Dice, means well and I'm still very happy to have been offered a stand, thank so much.
I hope to continue partaking in events like those and hopefully go to the even bigger ones, but everything takes time, and I'm happy about how it's going so far!
Thank you for reading my first ever blog post on my site, I'll keep you updated!
